While the marriage is no longer intact, you're both still the parents of your children, and playing the blame game only serves to undermine the other parent in your children's eyes. The best way to handle children's curiosity is to establish a "shared story" with your ex-spouse, giving only the basic details behind your separation, while sparing your children all of the details they really don't need to know.
